Top award for Spanish company Actiu

Spanish office furniture manufacturer ACTIU has been awarded a prestigious Red Dot design award for its Plek seating range. Plek, designed by Alegre Industrial and manufactured by Actiu, is ideal for conference and multi-purpose areas.

Plek is a graceful, collection that includes desks, chairs and seating storage solutions. Its soft, simple lines and distinctive moulded aluminium frame adds impact to both home and office environments. In addition to classic grey, white and black, the chair seat and backs are available in a range of vibrant colours including red, orange, dark blue and pistachio. The seating range comes with or without arms and can be used in three different positions.

Plek impressed an international jury, which chose it from among 3,200 products submitted from 51 countries. Red Dot awards have been running since 1955 and winning products are exhibited at the Red Dot Design Museum in Essen, Germany.
