Mariscal designs new wallpapers for Tres Tintas

Tres Tintas, the Barcelona-based wallpaper company, is delighted to have worked with Javier Mariscal on its fourth collection. The great artist and designer put his inimical pen to paper to produce these charming designs that depict his vision of the World that surrounds him – namely, urban chaos and the warm Mediterranean landscape.

The collection is called 9 Selvas and is very personal to Mariscal, who is a highly intuitive artist. One of his designs depicts the thousands of anonymous faces we pass every day on the street, while another captures the magnificent shapes of Majorcan pine treets.

His ilustrations give an idea of how the papers would look in a room. Fun, delicate, stylish, uplifting, these papers offer the chance to experiment with new ways of decorating walls.

Tres Tintas was launched in 2004 with the aim of reviving interest in wallpaper by producing designs that were more abstract and contemporary.

Mariscal’s career has spanned a wide range of mediums from painting and sculpture to interior design and landscaping. He launched Estudio Mariscal in Barcelona in 1989.
