Wisdom Tree, Jordi Milà's first product launch

Eddadesign, the Barcelona-based design studio set up by Jordi Milà, has just launched a new design edition, Jordi Milà . With this brand within a brand, Milá is making a firm commitment to innovative, out of the ordinary design.

The company’s first commercial product will be the Wisdom Tree bookcase, which is hand-crafted out of high-density wood with a matt lacquer finish. Its originality lies in its multitude of curling or spiralling ‘branches’ which support the books; each of these are covered with hand-sewn leather with visible stitching.

Wisdom Tree is available in a wide range of finishes, allowing the user to take part in the creative process behind the product. He or she can choose the colours of the central element, the colour of the leather on the ‘branches’ and that of the thread used to stitch it on to them.

This striking product will offically make its debut in May at the next International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) in New York.
