Crystal Candy by Jaime Hayón

The centuries-old French crystalware factory Baccarat have hooked up with the designer Jaime Hayón to launch its new collection called Crystal Candy, which has seen its Madrid-born designer find inspiration in the richness of tropical fruits, like pineapples or pomegranates.

Hayón’s collaboration with Baccarat has allowed him to experiment with new colours and materials, in this case combining crystal and ceramics in these new, quirky pieces. Other forms evoked by the collection are golf balls and drops of water. This exclusive and eye-catching set, numbering nine pieces, is a limited-edition product; only 25 sets exist in all.

Crystal Candy was first unveiled in Paris last January to coincide with the Paris trade fair Maison & Objet.
