Lea by Bover, a shelf incorporating a light

Bover, a company based in Barcelona, has dreamt up a new light – the Lea – whose appealing peculiarity is that its top half incorporates a shelf. Not only is this a brilliant energy-efficient light but it is also dual-functional, doubling as a container for storing books, maps, city guides and everyday objects such as newspapers and letters.

The Lea lamp – a striking, practical wall lamp with a chic, sober aesthetic available in four sizes and three finishes (white, pearl grey and a bluey green) – has been designed by Alex Fernández. It’s perfect for use in hotels, public spaces or workplaces. Lea was launched at the most recent Euroluce lighting show during the Milan Furniture Fair, along with the company’s other new products – such as Boar, Katsura and Plafonet.

Bover, a company which specialises in contemporary lighting, was founded in 1996. Since then it has spread its net wide, business-wise, with a presence in Europe, the US, Central America, the Middle East, Asia and Australia.
