More new products by Vondom for 2010

Vondom is investing heavily in product development this year. Of all its new products unveiled recently at the fair Maison&Objet in Paris, we were particularly struck by its Rest collection, the company’s first collaboration with design studio A-Cero.

Rest is a collection of outdoor furniture comprising pieces which are more architectural in style than is normal for Vondom. And it’s all down to the know-how of its designers, the Spanish architecture studio A-Cero, an influential practice known also for its extensive experience in real estate and town-planning. The distinguishing feature of the collection, which consists of sun loungers, modular sofas and side tables, is that it looks light and elegantly rectilinear and comes in a multitude of colourways (white, black, grey, vibrant blue and pistachio).

Vondom is one of Spain’s leading companies in the design, production and marketing of plant holders, lighting and outdoor furniture and accessories. It’s also the only one which designs and manufactures its own furniture out of technical resins. The pieces are made using rotational moulding techniques and special hand-finished moulds, which enable the company to create very innovative – and ultimately unique – designs in all their collections.
