Actiu’s Winner chair

Designed to maximise comfort in the office.

The design studio Alegre Industrial, which is based in the Valencian city of Sueca, has once again collaborated with the Alicante-based office furniture group Actiu to create a new office chair called Winner. This very comfortable design adapts to the movements of all types of user, so it moulds itself smoothly, in a totally natural way, to whichever position is required. No effort is needed to vary or maintain a position, and there is no need for any manual adjustment.

The form of the seat, made of an injected foam which quickly recovers its original shape after use, distributes a person’s weight evenly and avoids putting any strain on knees or pelvises.

Actiu, which has been in business for over 40 years, is one of Spain’s leading groups in the manufacture of furniture for offices and public spaces. It has 200 employees and, indirectly, hires the services of another 500 people. It sells 30 per cent of its goods abroad – mainly in Europe and the Middle East. It has almost doubled its sales in the past six years; key to this has been the huge – and fruitful – investment it has made in research and development.
