Aura by Treku
Ángel Martí and Enrique Delamo have designed the Aura collection – a versatile, practical family of storage units for the living or dining room – for the company Treku.
Its flexible, modular structure means it can be configured in different ways and sizes. The option of doors in different colours underlines the practical nature of its various elements as well as the possibility it offers of creating a piece with a different look whenever the mood takes you, of combining it with the other furniture in a space and of being able to arrange it horizontally or vertically.
Aura is available in walnut or natural oak and with a lacquered finish in a huge choice of colours. It allows for the combination of all types of wood with the different coloured finishes, as well as different combinations of the latter. The pieces have metal legs which confer on the designs a solidity that’s nevertheless unimposing.
Treku is a family business which specialises in the design and manufacture of beautifully designed contemporary furniture. Its roots go back to a workshop set up in 1947 in Guipúzcoa, in northern Spain, an area famous for its cabinet-making and carpentry. The business was originally named after its founder Jesús Aldabaldetrecu. But in 1970 it was renamed Muebles Treku (Treku Furniture). Today, Treku (for short), which is still based in the same area, enjoys a high profile in its sector, and has sales representatives in Europe and the US.
