Ohlalá, a watering can that’s pleasingly ornamental
Ohlalà is a watering can created by Catalan design studio CrousCalogero for French company Qui est Paul? Inspired by handles of handbags, this watering can is designed to be decorative in its own right and not to be stored out of sight after use.
Available in 13 colours, it’s shaped like a ring which functions as its handle. It holds up to two litres of water, and has two water spouts: the main one is long and tubular, the other has a perforated lid through which water falls like rain. The latter’s cap can be removed so the container can be refilled.
Made of recyclable, rotation-moulded, high-density polyethylene, Ohlalà is fabricated by rotational moulding. This semi-rigid plastic makes the can resistent to ultraviolet rays and extreme temperatures, and gives it an agreeably tactile quality.
