Star – the new rug by NOW Carpets

The Star rug, dreamt up by French designer Christian Ghion, which we admired at the most recent Maison & Objet fair in Paris, is NOW Carpets’s latest offering.

Star represents a shower of stars, and suggests reminiscences of the 1970s, revisited and modified. Made of wool and viscose, Star has been hand-made in the company’s own workshops in Nepal, and is available in various sizes and special colourways.

Star entailed a new collaboration between this French designer and NOW Carpets. At the Maison & Objet fair previous to the last one, the company unveiled other designs such as Sea, Garden Secret and Fields. As such, NOW Carpets has become part of the select cast of companies with which some of the most prolific, globally prestigious designers and brands have collaborated – chief among them Cappellini, Dior and Yves Saint Laurent.
