Kat and Netkat chairs receive awards from IIDA
They’re designed by Lluscá and made by Grupo Resol – Dd
The Kat and Netkat chairs, designed by Josep Lluscá, have recently won prizes for best product design as parto f the International Interior Design Association’s Global Excellence Awards 2012. The International Interior Design Association (IIDA) is the world’s biggest interior design association, with over 13,000 professional members.
The awards ceremony, held in partnership with Hospitality Design magazine, took place in Las Vegas last May.
Manufactured by Grupo Resol – Dd, which is based in Gerona, northern Spain, both chairs stand out for their lightweight structure, ergonomic qualities and durability. What’s more, their aesthetically pleasing appearance and curvilinear forms make them irresistible to sit on – and comfortable and modern-looking.
Both chairs are made of high quality polypropylene using gas-injection moulding, a technology which allows the designs to be easily adapted to suit different personal needs. Both versions come with or without arms, and are infinitely stackable. The manufacturing process deploys a single material, and the chairs are 100 per cent recyclable.
