Vondom launches Adan and Eva (Adam and Eve)
A new, amazing collaboration with architect Teresa Sapey.
The creative magic of Teresa Sapey’s architecture studio has wowed us once again with its two new creations, evocative of the Bible, called Adan and Eva (Adam and Eve). Flowerpots aside, these two multifunctional pieces can be used as seating, vases or side tables.
Both designs have great character and can be differentiated as much by the sexes they’re associated with as by their forms. Adan is predominantly geometric and linear, resembling a faceted diamond, while Eva’s contours are gentle, soft and delicate, its curvilinear forms greatly contrasting with those of Adan.
Manufactured by Valencia-based firm Vondom, a leading Spanish company that designs, makes and markets contemporary outdoor furniture, pots and lighting, these pieces harmonise with all sorts of spaces, while they come in materials that make them suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
This isn’t the first collaboration between Sapey and Vondom. Another notable one is a funky family of vases called Chemistubes –large vases which can be backlit by LEDs of the RGB kind (red, green and blue lights combined to create subtle colours). These are suitable for both domestic interiors and public spaces.
