Modern decorative lighting for inside and out from Spain´s top manufacturers, which are marrying the latest technology with sleek design to produce a new generation of products. Spanish companies unveiled innovative new products that got people talking.

B.Lux is an extraordinarily well-connected lighting company which has attracted many lighting world luminaries, both up-and-coming and established. Its designers include Miguel Angel Ciganda, Manel Ybarguengoitia, Miguel Herranz and Diego Fortunato. But the best-know member of the company´s design team is indisputably, Jorge Pensi, whose pieces are spare and functionalist yet elegant. Typical of this work is his elegantly simple Boletus and Sor lamps. One of its latest novelties is the Kanpazar, a portable outdoor lamp made out of neutral polyethylene with a smooth surface.

Metalarte is without doubt one of Spain´s most experimental lighting companies. Metalarte is always looking to the future, commissioning young designers to create lighting that´s very much of the moment. Other designers it has collaborated with of late include Lievore-Alther-Molina, Hector Serrano, Jordi Llopis, Ramón Ubeda and Jaime Hayón.

Marset is one of Spain´s most respected modern lighting companies. The company is admired for the skill with which it marries design and innovation with technical expertise, as well as its exacting manufacturing standards. Marset offers table, floor, suspended, wall, ceiling, clip-on and outdoor lighting. Many of its distinctive products are developed by its in-house team of designers, led by artistic director Joan Gaspar.
