Spain´s growing influence in the office furniture market is a fact. Designers and manufacturers show a wide range of highly contemporary furniture for workplaces environments-products that make going to the office anything but a chore. Going to work becomes a pleasure when office furniture is this good. Spanish companies are leading the way in offering designs that are as stylish as they are hard-wearing.

Actiu will present Arkitet in OFITEC, an innovative range of tables, along with the TNK range of swivel chairs, both designed by the Alegreindustrial design studio in conjunction with the company’s own team. Arkitet is a range of management office suites, boardrooms and large-scale facilities. The TNK chairs incorporate a state-of-the-art system that detects user contact and adjusts the swivel speed to the user’s back movement. The backrest is manufactured in four different finishes: polypropylene, metal, elastic fabric and flexible polypropylene.

Tramo presents its latest system, called SYS and designed by Francesc Rifé. Meanwhile, Biok has chosen OFITEC to present its BK A1 collection, a multifunctional range of furniture designed by Gabriel Teixidó, which despite being extremely hardwearing looks very light in appearance.

Ofita, which sells its products in more than twenty countries, is exhibiting its Equis management office suite, designed by Lievore Altherr Molina, in OFITEC 2008, along with the Itaida group seating range, designed by Aitor García de Vicuña. Equis achieves fresh and up-to-date aesthetics, with a metal frame and tabletops in different finishes: fine woods or coloured glass.

Other new items will be presented by AIC, with its Heos Basic series, TT Icon chair collection and Jon containers. Shetug presents its Master series, a wide range of management chairs and tables with steel frames and wooden or glass tabletops. Vilagrasa presents Ash, an outdoor ashtray and wastepaper bin created by 2-0 disseny, its Fló coat rack collection, designed by Josep Lluscá and the Nuda coat stand and hook collection, designed by Antoni Arola and Jordi Tamayo. Imasoto will exhibit OS “Office Secret”, a new office workstation furniture range designed by Item Design.

Imat has chosen OFITEC to exhibit Proa, a new meeting table designed by Jesús Gibelalde, manufactured in wood shaped by an aluminium profile. Meanwhile, Ferfor will present Freddy, a stackable armrest chair with a single-shell seat and a chrome-plated steel tube frame. Pórtico, the latest furniture range by Coinma, designed by Oscar Tusquets, may also be admired in OFITEC. This series incorporates a cable management solution within the table frame of high aesthetic quality.

JG Group is showing two new collections in OFITEC 2008: Y-Life and Inspira. Rocada, an office furniture company with a wide range of products, is exhibiting the Executive series, management furniture with refined and minimalist lines in steel and glass.

FR Sillones will launch its New Age and Madam series. New Age is a seating range designed for functional offices. Its series of dynamic systems make it a highly ergonomic chair. Plano Sisplamo is showing its Q-Bos system together with a new glass Writing Board with no corner brackets in the frame.

With a more classic style, OFITEC will also exhibit Pico Muebles’ new collection based on its Titanic range. This new collection manufactured entirely in Spanish walnut has been used to furnish conference rooms, CEO offices, kitchens and bathrooms in projects carried out in Spain. Inter Classic Mobilia is exhibiting the Boheme collection, a complete range of furniture for management offices manufactured with artisan techniques which combines beech wood and chestnut veneer with state-of-the-art materials. It is designed by Pepe Arbona.
