Spanish company Andreu World has had the honour of furnishing one of Tokyo’s swankiest hotels – The Capitol Hotel Tokyu – with its designs. The hotel is located in a prestigious area in the city centre, between Tokyo’s Parliament and Prime Minister’s residence. Celebrities from all over the world have stayed here. Originally called Hotel Tokyo Hilton, it opened in 1963.
There are many reasons to visit Puerto Rico. They have spectacular tropical rain forests that are home to some 1,000 species of orchid and 850 species of birds, glorious sandy beaches, and no shortage of coffee and bananas, to name but a few.
The Barcelona-based company Casadesús has been commissioned to furnish New York’s prestigious eaterie South Gate, situated in the heart of the Midtown area. Casadesús has supplied the restaurant, which has been designed by Chinese, New York-based architect Tony Chi, with its Tarkana collection of elegant, stylised chairs, armchairs and stools made of steel and polyester.
The office of the Trade Commission of Spain in New York, responsible for the promotion of Spanish products in the United States in a wide range of sectors going from wines to interior design, was renovated recently and decorated with products from 15 Spanish companies, 4 of which worked specifically for this Project: Luis Eslava Estudio, Rubén Fuentes Fuertes, LZF and Apparatu. They tried to incorporate the concept of industrial artisanship, a very local-specific feature of Spanish design studios.
