Roger Arquer was born in
Barcelona,
Spain, in 1975 and graduated also in
Barcelona in
1998. A year after graduation, he moved to New York City to work as an industrial designer at various design studios. He moved to London in 2003 to earn an MA in Product Design at the Royal College of Art (RCA). While he was at RCA, he had the experience of working with Alfredo Haberli on an ad-hoc basis. He set up his own design practice in
London after RCA in 2005, where he is still based. He has received many design awards, including the Opus Design Award, Coram Design Award, and Adi-Fad. He has exhibited his projects at Design Museum (London), British Council Design Exhibition (Milan), Royal College of Art (RCA), On/Off Design Experience (Korea), and Serpentine Gallery (London). He also teaches at the Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design and Camberwell College of Arts in London.
