Spanish company LedsC4 has been designing and producing lighting devices for all kinds of spaces, both indoors and out, for more than 40 years. The group, which includes two brands – LedsC4 and Grok – offers its clients flexible solutions adapted to specific project needs.
The company's head office is located in Torà, 100km from Barcelona, and covers an area of 30,000sqm. The premises house the R&D design centre, the main production and management area, and a logistics centre with more than 150,000m3 of warehouse capacity. The more than 330 professionals working for LedsC4 share values of proximity, corporate responsibility and excellence, as a result of which the company now operates in more than 140 countries worldwide and has a portfolio of more than 3,500 products.
In 1998, they created Grok in a bid for a more contemporary line of products with an attractive design. The aim was to enhance luminaire interaction with ambient lighting, decorating and constructing spaces. The brand’s lamp designs are developed in partnership with Spanish and international designers and studios like Céline Wright, Benedito Design, Nahtrang Disseny, Francesc Vilaró, WIS Design Gemma Bernal and Ramon Valls. At Grok, they select the highest quality diodes so their versatile LED-technology lamps will create colours that are cleaner, more intense, pure and profound, and have a longer useful life, more luminous efficiency, lower consumption, and will always be environmentally sustainable.
The company sees light as a powerful emotion- and sensation-generating element without which architecture could not exist. This is why its pieces passionately explore the full potential and perceptions of any space. This know-how is used in the development of each new luminaire and in the light study conducted for each new project with a view to achieving uniqueness for the area to be lit.
LedsC4 is defined by flexibility and ad hoc solutions which cater for the technical and decorative needs of specifiers in the contract channel. Its professionals have the ability to provide start-to-finish turnkey solutions anywhere in the world, either by modifying standard products (changing materials, finishes, measurements and light sources) or by planning and producing bespoke design schemes. It has undertaken numerous lighting projects all over the world: for major malls like Centro Comercial Arenas de Barcelona in Spain or Centro Comercial Majadas in Guatemala, for luxury hotels like Doubletree By Hilton in Ras Al Khaimah (EAU) or Hotel Fairmont Rey Juan Carlos I in Barcelona, and for offices like Razorfish in Berlin (Germany) and Samsung in Paris (France).
The main company markets, which export 75% of turnover, are Europe, USA and the Middle East. Every year, they exhibit their new products at leading lighting and design exhibitions like Light+Building Frankfurt, Euroluce Milan, BDNY New York, Light Middle East Dubai, I Saloni WorldWide Moscow and Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair. The company has received prestigious international awards like the 2016 German Design Awards for pendant lamp Invisible, created by designer Francesc Vilaró.
