Carlos Tíscar graduated in 1982 in industrial design from the Valencia design school, Escuela de Artes Aplicadas. He later moved to Italy, studying at the Polytechnic University of Milan from 1984 to 1985. He began to devote himself professionally to design by becoming a member of the Factoría in 1987. In 1991, he became a member of the consultancy, Gesto Design Management. Two years later, he founded his own studio in Valencia. His current projects encompass furniture and homeware, interiors for offices and public spaces as well as toys.
Industrial designer Jordi Ribaudí founded his company, Estudio Ribaudí, which specialises in creating products and lighting, in 1996. Since then, the studio, which is based in the town of Igualada near Barcelona, has designed pieces for such well-known firms as Estiluz, LEDS-C4, Lamp, Faro, Salvi and Indecasa, among others. And, as interior designers, the studio has dreamt up new retail concepts for such renowned fashion labels as Sita Murt and Munich.
Estudio Nómada sprang from a collision of different personal journeys which converged in Santiago de Compostela in Galicia four years ago. The company’s interior design and architecture departments are headed up by Enrique De Santiago and José Antonio Vázquez Martín respectively.
Born in Barcelona in 1972, Alex Fernández Camps studied technical architecture which he combined with artistic practices such as painting and photography. At the same time, he learnt about industrial design with an interest and desire to make practical, everyday, accessible designs.
