Spanish upholstery fabric and wallpaper makers have unveiled their new decorative schemes for the season.
Tres Tintas have looked to contemporary design for their wallpaper collection created by Spanish designer Patricia Urquiola. Comprising nine different designs, it is available in five colours, and reflects this year's trend of mixing geometric patterns with stripes and asymmetric shapes in pastel and earthy colours, for maximum visual impact.
Coordonné revealed several new wallpaper and fabric collections. In wallpaper, they are launching a new line in partnership with haute-couture model and muse, Ines de la Fressange, with papers in mustard, olive and carmine-red to give walls that extra touch of chic: MONTMARTRE, inspired by Roaring Twenties’ Paris, and a new edition of RANDOM PAPERS Volume II. Their fabrics include the sumptuous, velvet DELAUNAY series with geometric motifs inspired by artist Sonia Delaunay, and TERRACE, a collection which draws on natural, organic patterns.
Gancedo start the year with two elegant fabric collections: CHIFFUN VELVET – in luxury velvet with natural silk and viscose, plush close nap with a delicate hang – comes in 11 elegant shades; NEW YORK has geometric patterns inspired by the Big Apple and comes in bright colours and flame-retardant faux-linen fabric. Under the brand HappyTEX by Gancedo, they have just unveiled LOMBOK, in 100% gradated striped cotton with a vintage finish and on-trend shades. Both brands round off their range with original net-curtain collections, including flame-retardant models.
As their main collections this season, Güell Lamadrid and Les Creations de la Maison (Grupo Lamadrid) have presented GARÇONNIÈRE, a fabric family created by designer Juan Avellaneda, comprising fabrics inspired by great painters, poets and designers like Salvador Dalí, Federico García Lorca and Yves Saint Laurent. Meanwhile, Creations de la Maison have launched ROMA as this season’s highlight, influenced by the Italian capital's bohemian neighbourhoods.
Pepe Peñalver have unveiled the BEYUL fabric series, designed by Shauna Dennison, and MIDTOWN, inspired by New York. Lizzo have gone for geometric and organic motifs to add glamour and style to their fabric range, Gentry, Club, Mythology, Nuvola and Gala
Gastón y Daniela are regaling us with fabric, paper and trimming collection LORENZO CASTILLO Vol.IV, and fabric family LIBRERÍA.
Equipo DRT unveiled a collection of six fabrics called RUSSAFA, created by designer Javier Mariscal and inspired by Mediterranean fruit and vegetables, and the fabric series EGO and SINUA.
Finally, Ybarra Serret is bringing out VIOLA fabrics and KA Internacional is launching Metrópoli as a tribute to top European cities. Rounding it all off are more exquisite decorative proposals from fabric-makers CR CLASS, Pepa Pastor and Sette7.
