The company Tothora never leaves us indifferent to its well-designed clocks. Its eye-catching pieces allow you to contemplate the passing of time in a fresh way. Yet they go beyond the measuring of time, being sculptural objects in their own right — and suitable for any room.
One of the brand’s latest creations is Dome, an analogue table-top clock made of solid wood with a lacquered finish, in several colours and sizes. This arresting clock comprises a semicircle whose minute hand is a small celluloid ball that moves around the minute marks at its base. Last April in Milan, this daring, fun design wowed the judges of the A’Design Award, who gave it the first international prize in the A’Design Award Winner 2016 in the category of Furniture, Decorative Items and Homeware Design.
Founded by Josep Vera Arús in 2012, and based in Granollers near Barcelona, Tothora designs, manufactures and markets its sculptural table-top, floor, wall and ceiling-hung timepieces. These are handmade, boast German quartz movement and are exceptionally reliable and quiet. This allows you to enjoy them in a new way. The company always launches its products at the world’s most prestigious design fairs, such as Maison & Objet in Paris, Ambiente in Frankfurt and HOMI in Milan. It exports its goods to over 20 countries around the world.
