ICEX and the Economic and Commercial Office of Spain in Moscow, with the collaboration of on-line magazine 360.ru, organised the second consecutive contest for Russian prescribers (decorators, interior designers, architects…) entitled “Interior design creations based on Spanish product in Russia”. The competition coincided with the First Saloni Worldwide exhibition and aimed to promote the image of Spanish design in the Russian Federation.
Five Spanish interior design companies—Andreu World, Expormim, Pamesa, Point and Vondom—provided files of their products in 3D format for the Russian designers to use in their virtual creations. The prize was for the best Russian interior design project in a high-end residential setting (luxury flat or apartment, residence, mansion, etc.), presented by September 30.
The points system was devised by the Russian magazine 360º.ru, which specialises in interior design and architecture and provided technical and digital support for the event through its online platform Pinwin, where the competition and voting could be viewed. Designers registered on the platform could vote for the entries, and the one with most “likes” each week went on to become a finalist.
The award ceremony took place on Thursday 11 October at ADRI BBQ restaurant in Moscow, run by top Spanish chef Adrián Quetglás, who has a Michelin star. The winning project, called “unique moment” was the work of designer Alexander Malygin of the Russian architecture studio Kinetics Plus who received a laptop computer. The event was also attended by staff from the five Spanish companies taking part, bringing them into contact with Russian interior designers.
