On 3 December, the Residence of the Spanish Ambassador in Paris hosted a unique exhibition of interior design products called Scènes d’ intérieur: le design espagnol à l’honneur (Scenes of Daily Life: Spanish Design Takes Pride of Place), an event organised by ICEX and the Economic and Trade Office of Spain in Paris with the aim of showcasing the best Spanish home-décor designs to French interior architects and designers.
The exhibition was curated by IDEAT Magazine, a publication specialised in design, contemporary art, photography and fashion. The highlight of the event at the Ambassador’s residence was a singular setting with a variety of objects arranged to compose scenes of daily life – items from the companies taking part and human figures were placed together to create a living exhibition. Other rooms were also display a series of designer items.
The official inauguration was taken place at 7 pm, followed by a networking cocktail party. On show were designer items from 16 Spanish companies: nine specialising in furniture, Andreu World, BD Barcelona, Expormim, Inclass, Jover+Valls, Mobles 114, Moblibérica, Ondarreta and Sancal; three in lighting, Bover, Leds C4 and Lladró; three in home textiles, Ábbatte, Coordonné and Naturtex, and one in office design, Forma 5.
