Spanish design furniture manufacturer Sancal showed us their latest projects in the British capital, which is already familiar with the comfort and easy-going style of their collections.
We start at Gatwick airport, where transcontinental airline Virgin Atlantic offer their best customers chance to relax in a splendid first-class lounge. For a restful stay in this bright and colourful space, British design studio “Campaign” has opted for Sancal's comfortable Tonella chairs by Note Design and Japanese-style air sofas and armchairs Sumo by Yonoh.
After a busy day in London, a pleasant stay is guaranteed at Leman Locke Hotel, a unique four-star hotel in London's East End. Its interior design is by New York studio Grzywinski+Pons, which has designed a building that straddles two worlds, combining the atmosphere of a luxury boutique hotel with the comfort and proximity of traditional guesthouses for longer stays in the city. To achieve this, the studio has taken care of every little detail in bedrooms and common areas, choosing Sancal products to make you feel at home in the reception area, entrance hall and café-bar, where you’ll find Tonella and Barnaby chairs, designed by Perrine & Gilles, Nudo tables by Juan Ibañez and Collar Mao chairs, designed by the Skrivo studio. The hotel also boasts a Wireflow pendant lamp designed for Spanish lighting firm Vibia by Arik Levy.
Sancal designs and manufactures contemporary design furniture which seeks to instil a sense of well-being in the user and bring peace of mind to those who choose them for their clients. Their collections feature across facilities worldwide, from hotels like Ovolo Woolloomooloo Sidney (Australia) and Generator Amsterdam (Netherlands) to offices like Campari in Toronto (Canada).
