On June 10 in Italy, ICEX, together with the Economic and Commercial Office of Spain in Milan, presented the novelties of 26 Spanish companies belonging to the furniture, lighting, home textiles and decorative accessories sectors. The audience was made up of the main media which specializes in decoration, architecture, interior design and lifestyle (Interni, Domus, Living, AD, IoArch, Elle Decor or Marie Claire Maison among others).
After the recent go ahead to the celebration of the "Milano Design Week" from September 5 to 10 and the new format of the Salone del Mobile called "Supersalone", the event was the ideal prelude. It also served as a unique chance to introduce both the novelties which Spain has to offer and the "Made in Spain” design trends to the sector´s Italian press. New products which weren´t exhibited in 2020, were also given their change to shine as they were also presented.
General activity has slowed down due to the global pandemic, and consequently Spanish companies have not had the opportunity to exhibit their new collections. Therefore, the main objective of the Webinar was to be the main drive as well as the loudspeaker of Spanish companies of the habitat sector, with the sector´s Italian media being able to publicize these new ideas over the following months.
From the lighting sector, the latest collections of ten design firms were shown: Almalight, B.lux, Bover, Estiluz, Fambuena, Faro Barcelona, Luxcambra, MYO, Novolux and Ole Lighting.
In the "Outdoor" and "Indoor" furniture section, we saw the latest launches of eleven companies with a fascinating and eclectic array of products displayed. Andreu World, BD Barcelona, Bõln, Expormim, Inclass, Jover+Valls, Meddel, Mobenia, Moblibérica, Ogo and Timeless Natura.
In what concerns fabrics and home textiles we were able to see the latest product launches of Lorena Canals and the Now Carpets carpet company, while the Kriskadecor, Novocuadro Art Company and RS Barcelona firms made up the rest of the exhibition of “Made in Spain” products.
In addition, six Spanish panelists spoke about their most recent designs: the architect Ramón Esteve with the Vondom company, the heads of the Sancal and Nani Marquina firms, and the designers Santiago Sevillano and Juan Manuel Ferrero of Estudi{H}ac.
In this article we´ll introduce you to the latest designs and innovations of these twenty-six companies that reflect the relevance of a country like Spain, which after Italy is the country with the largest number of exhibiting furniture and lighting companies at "The Salone del Mobile in Milan", the world's largest event of the sector.
