In December, the Spanish winners of the Best of Year (BoY) and Architizer A+ Award were announced, a total of thirteen companies and seven design and architecture studios.
The awards "Best of Year (BoY)" awards have been awarded for the past 17 years by the prestigious North American magazine Interior Design and recognizes the best work of the year carried out by designers, architects and manufacturers from all over the world. In the "Product" category, 13 Spanish companies were nominated and two of them won the award: Andreu Word in the "Contract Seating" section for the ORUS chair designed by Patricia Urquiola and Vibia in the "Architectural Lighting" section for its PLUSMINUS lamp created by Stefan Díez. And in the category of "Projects"; of the five projects with Spanish architecture and design studios nominated, the winners in the section "Residential Transformation", the studio Raul Sanchez Architects for BSP20 House and in the "Product showroom" section the Compac design studio by Gandía Hall.
The digital architecture platform Architizer A+ has also announced the winning firms and designers for this year, its eleventh edition. And the award-winning Spanish products were the GB Modular table by Gandia Blasco, the JUMBO sofa designed by Ramón Esteve for Lebom, the FORMA bathroom collection by Noken (Porcelanosa), the PATOSO armchair by Diabla, the ROMANS chair by Teresa Sapey for iSiMAR, the SYMPHONY lamp created by Jordi Pla for Milán Iluminación and the PLUSMINUS lamp by Stefan Diez for Vibia
