FERNANDO SALAS

Starts as an apprentice in 1964 in the studio of the architects Martorell, Bohigas and Mackay. His five-year period in the studio outlines his future as a versatile designer. Nominated in three occasions to the national design prize. He is co-author together with Javier Mariscal of the Hotel Domine de Bilbao, of the restaurant-music hall Calle 54 and the 11nth floor of the Puerta de America Hotel. His stool "Freddy" for Amat-3 is a return to the world of product design and his Clip chair and Paquito armchair for Uno Design are his latest contribution. Teacher at the design schools Eina, Elisava in Barcelona and the Fine Arts Faculty of Salamanca, also invited professor in the "Faculté D'Aménagement" of Montreal (Canadá) and the Bolivarian University of Medellín (Colombia).
