Kawamura-Ganjavian is an architectural and design studio that was set up in the year 2000 by Key Portilla-Kawamura and Ali Ganjavian. After meeting in London, where they both studied, they have worked in different countries: India, the US, Japan, Great Britain and Switzerland in the fields of town planning, architecture, set design and industrial design, in both a professional and an academic capacity. In 2006 they opened their headquarters in Madrid and in 2011 they opened a branch in Lausanne. They are founding members of the multidisciplinary creation platform Studio Banana. The studio comprises a wide variety of levels; work is done in the fields of product and building design, ephemeral architecture, environmental and interior design, construction projects and territorial studies.
Kutarq is a multidisciplinary architecture, product and interior design studio. It was founded in 2012 by Jordi López Aguiló, an architect/designer who, after working at internationally-recognised architectural firms in Paris, Copenhagen and Barcelona, set up his own studio in Valencia with the idea of creating products which interact with their users and influence their mood, while promoting the use of recycled materials. Each project is the fruit of a thorough design process, in which trials, experimentation and research play a very important role.
