Bõln was born from the industrial expertise of Poliuretanos Rivas, a family-owned company specializing in the manufacture of molded polyurethane parts. Building on that industrial foundation, they decided to create their own contract furniture brand, with the goal of channeling their polyurethane expertise into a finished product designed for architecture and interior design projects. As part of this process, they developed Flexyskin®, a proprietary technology that enables them to manufacture durable, waterproof pieces that are soft to the touch and designed to withstand heavy use. Bõln emerged from this combination of manufacturing capabilities, technical development, and design.
