After more than a decade on the island of Manhattan, the offices and showroom of the designer lighting company Marset in the United States moved at the end of 2022 to a new space located in Brooklyn, in the heart of Williamsburg. The brand's growth in the U.S. market has prompted the move to a larger space in one of New York's most vibrant neighborhoods, which is known for its artistic spirit, full of galleries and murals. The new showroom is presented as a flexible work area that encourages interaction, reflection, and creativity.
Italian architect Stefano Colli designed the interior design of this new showroom, which is spread over 250 m2 at street level and has an intermediate floor that includes different meeting areas, offices, and a large terrace. This space mixes aesthetics and functionality, where Marset lighting marks the path, illuminating all the rooms with its collections that bring comfort and warmth to both indoor and outdoor environment.
The new showroom was conceived as a hub: a place for connection and collaborative design, combining the creations of young emerging talents with the work of well-known Barcelona designers. This is the case of the custom-made furniture of Isaac Piñeiro the ceramic exhibitors of Xavi Mañosa of Apparatu (designer of the Pleat Box and Scotch Club collections), an easy chair by Jaume Ramírez (designer of the Milana and Copernica collections), side tables by Júlia Esqué, and a special set of pergola and outdoor table by Max Enrich, in addition to rugs by Nani Marquina. Outside, we find a large terrace where we can take in the Spanish brand's outdoor collection.
Marset's new Brooklyn showroom embodies the brand's core values of design, quality, technological rigor, innovation, sustainability, and authenticity and joins its other showrooms in Barcelona, Milan, Cologne, and Mexico City. Marset's purpose is to enhance light with a decorative collection that offers warm lighting, both for indoors and outdoors, and this space in New York is a clear example of this.
