Tau Cerámica is firmly committed to expansion in the US market. Proof of this came when the Spanish company opened its second standalone showroom in the US last summer. This move is consistent with the company’s policy of being in close and constant contact with its customers in order to offer them the entire range of their goods in a direct, professional manner.
In terms of its location, the company plumped for Chantilly, in the state of Viriginia. The showroom is situated more specifically in a commercial and services area called Park Long Court. This is a prime location – indeed one of the nerve centres of the country – since it’s situated in the Dulles Corridor, the mandatory route for anyone travelling to the international airport of Washington DC, the administrative capital of the US.
The layout of the interior of the new, 700 sq m showroom has been very carefully thought out. The display area measures 390 sp m, of which 300 sq m are taken up by the showroom itself. The rest of the building is devoted to providing both printed and audiovisual material for architects, designers and interior designers.
Visitors to the showroom can see furniture collections, large-scale environments showing how the products can be used and mock-ups of environments which present commercial schemes of the highest calibre.
The new Tau Cerámica showroom supplements its other US store in Frederick, Maryland, which has been up and running for three years. The latter has already proved itself to be an unqualified success with the public – and in terms of sales.
