Combined with the opening of its subsidiary in China, it reinforces Vondom’s expansion in China.
In September, Valencia-based outdoor furniture company Vondom opened its first standalone shop — whose interior has been designed in a style that reflects its brand’s image by Spanish studio A-cero — in Shanghai. A-cero has created an open space furnished with pieces picked from Vondom’s collections. Its lighting includes the wireless DMX lighting system, whose cutting-edge technology creates different moods by changing colours and intensity at the touch of a smartphone or tablet. In the middle of the showroom, a 65-inch TV projects 3D videos of the company’s different collections, giving visitors an opportunity to appreciate their forms and tactile qualities. The 200m-sq store has a large shop window which showcases its latest collections, meeting rooms, offices, a storage area and a reception to provide a better customer service.
This is Vondom’s first showroom in China, where it has also created its first subsidiary. And this October several Vondom franchises are opening in other cities — Shenyang, Lecong and Nanjing — while there are plans to open more in other Chinese cities. This spectacular invasion of China forms part of Vondom’s grand plan to expand into Asia, following the opening of its shop in Seoul, South Korea, where has a showroom of its distributor.
