It opens its first US showroom to consolidate its existing, significant presence in the country.
Spain’s multinational Cosentino group, which makes and distributes worktops, launched Cosentino City Manhattan in September, 2015 — its first US showroom.
This 375-sq m space was created thanks to an investment of more than €1m and is found in the city’s iconic A&D Building, the nerve centre of contemporary New York design, which houses the premises of the leading interior design firms in the city. This showroom offers architects and designers large display and office spaces equipped with state-of-the-art technology which helps them to realize all types of projects.
The ‘Cosentino City’ is the name of the showrooms which the company is opening in different cities around the world. This new concept aims to make the brand more familiar to its clients and capture the attention of visitors, thanks to the sensory experience this showroom offers and the comprehensive service of its expert staff. Visitors can interact with the various materials offered by Cosentino to create, visualise and develop projects digitally with the aid of computers in the showroom.
The first Cosentino City showroom opened in Sydney in September, 2013, the second in Singapore in November, 2014 and in October, 2015, it opened a similar showroom in Milan. The company has another showroom in Asia, called City Associated, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
This last shop reinforces the company’s commitment to trading in the US, where the firm set up its first foreign subsidiary in 1997. Since then, Cosentino’s growth has been unstoppable, and today it has 27 operating centres all over the country, two distribution hubs, 12 kitchen and bathroom surface production centres and agreements with eight wholesale distributors, such as Home Depot and Lowe’s. All this has consolidated Cosentino’s leading position in the US market, which today accounts for 57 per cent of its consolidated sales and where it has around 1,000 employees.
The Cosentino group produces high quality worktops for the architecture and design sectors. As a leading firm, it envisions and anticipates, in conjunction with its clients and members, solutions that offer design, good value and inspiration to people’s lives. This objective is possible thanks to using products by pioneering brands in their sectors, such as Silestone®, Dekton® and Sensa by Cosentino®, whose innovative surfaces allow for the creation of unique designs for both domestic and public spaces.
