Its second store in the North American country after Cancun.
The Spanish firm Gancedo opened its first showroom in Mexico City in June, its second store in the country, after the one opened in 2012 in the city of Cancun. With a clearly professional approach, this new establishment will be a critical piece in the company's expansion throughout the country.
The space, located in Colonia Roma Norte, has been created to provide interior design professionals, architects and designers in the Mexican capital with the company's solutions for fabrics, wallpapers, carpets, curtains, furniture, and accessories. With a history of more than 75 years in textile publishing, Gancedo is a brand expert in design with the vocation to create unique and inspiring spaces. As Beatriz Gancedo, PR and Brand Ambassador, comments: "Every space is an exciting project for us; collaborating on projects of every scale, from the smallest to the largest, but relying on the fundamentals that make us a leader in textile interior design. We are creative—we connect with innovation—but at the same time we promote local values and artisanal, sustainable, and innovative processes."
The showroom was inspired by the company's new flagship store in Madrid, located at Calle Velázquez 38, and offers Mexican professionals who visit it a comprehensive textile interior design service to decorate and customize their contract projects (homes, offices, public spaces, national heritage) in one of the most important tourist destinations in Latin America. Therefore, the company's presence in the country and its capital was almost a must for the company, after more than 10 years of consolidated success in Cancun. The addition of its own factory, garment workshop, design department, and professional installers, provides the company with a unique capacity to adapt, control, and respond to this important tourist destination, the third most visited in the world by 2020, according to the World Tourism Organization.
