The presentation of the IF DESIGN AWARDS 2023, which recognize the best designs from companies and design studios in more than 190 countries, has just taken place. This year, 45 Spanish companies and 30 Spanish product and interior design studios have received awards. IF DESIGN AWARDS GOLD went to the company Living Ceramic for its NUER ceramic mosaic, and to design agencies Culdesac for its F SOLIDPOD cosmetic applicator for Freshly Cosmetics, and to Series Nemo for its MATCH tonic water for Swiss firm Curius.
In the "Products" category, Arkoslight and Huguet Mallorca received several awards, the first in "Lighting" for the YORU lamp, the MAGNETIC system, the SHOT LIGHT BIG luminaire and the BLACK FOSTER MICRO, and the second in "Textiles / Wall / Floor" for three tile collections. Another four companies received two awards: Made Design for the NIKKO collection created by Alex Fernández Camps and the MILARD hanger designed by La Granja Design; Font Barcelona for the DOM wiring devices collection by Lucid Design and BCNY by Oriol Guimerà; Comas and Partners for the BOLETUS dinnerware collection and the ATLÁNTIDA cutlery, both created by Nacar Design; and Nadis Design for the ALBERTINA and MATILDA ceramic collections designed by Inma Bermúdez.
In this same category, awards were also won in "Office": for the MASS chair by Nacar Design for SELLEX, and for the NORAY panel divider created by Jorge Herrera studio for Pattio. In the "Home Furniture / Decoration" category, in addition to MILARD, the HIT series by Nahtrang for Mobenia and the CARACOL door retainer designed by Nacho Timón for Reunión Industrial also received awards. In the "Bathroom" category, in addition to Nadis Design and Living Ceramics, awards went to companies such as Roca Sanitario, Aquabella, Mc Bath, Nuovvo and o Ramón Soler. In "Lighting" the firm Marset won another IF Award for the AMBROSIA lighting system designed by Ciszak Dalmas Studio, in "Kitchen" the INVISIBLE hob by Gama Décor and in "Public retail" the FLUIT chair by Actiu were also winners.
Among the thirty Spanish product and interior design studios that received awards, seven went to the Lucid design agency, five to Nacar Design, three to Nahtrang and two to the studios Inma Bermúdez and Anima Design.
The IF DESIGN Awards have been celebrated for 70 years by the world's oldest independent design society, the iF International Forum Design GmbH, based in Germany. The awards ceremony will be held on May 15 at the Friedrichstadt-Palast in Berlin, the world’s largest stage theater.
