Fabrics That Connect with Nature, Landscapes and Art

Spanish textile editors unveil their new fabric collections for this season, where nature, craftsmanship, and cultural traditions merge with innovation and sustainability. From prints inspired by distant landscapes to recycled materials and reinterpreted ancient techniques, these brands present designs that imbue spaces with character and authenticity.

The Soul of Nature in Fabrics

Spanish textile brands continue to draw endless inspiration from nature. Agora-Tuvatextil introduces GAIÀ and CALA, two collections from their new SIGNATURE SERIES. Gaia draws inspiration from the river near the company’s headquarters, as well as from the ancient Greek goddess embodying Mother Earth. It features innovative yarns like Frisé and Bouclé, which add unique depth and texture to the fabrics. Meanwhile, Cala, designed by Santiago Sevillano, evokes the Atlantic through patterns, textures, and colors inspired by the ocean.

Alhambra, on the other hand, presents several collections that reflect the essence of nature: TIERRA celebrates roots and heritage through fabrics made from sustainable natural fibers like cotton, linen, and wool. OCASO captures the subtle beauty of a setting sun. SABI, created by designer and architect Lorna de Santos, honors the passage of time and the beauty found in imperfection. And SALTY brings the refreshing essence of the sea to any space with its serene textures.

The tribute to nature extends to MILPA, created by Nyra Troyce for Gancedo, which captures the essence of Mesoamerican crops through warm tones and historically rich prints. SAMARKAND, meanwhile, transports the visual richness of Far Eastern landscapes to interiors, with tribal patterns and vibrant colors that reinterpret the textile traditions of Turkestan. Its seven printed fabrics in three colors are made of water-resistant and lightfast OEKO-TEX®.

Landscapes and Culture in Every Thread

The conversation between tradition and modernity is reflected in the offerings from Coordonné, which introduces BERBER, a collection inspired by desert aesthetics and nomadic cultures, and COTSWOLD, which draws on the charm of the English countryside. At Grupo Lamadrid, Güell Lamadrid launches L’ART DE VIVRE, an ode to the joy of everyday life, featuring floral designs that evoke French castles like the LOIRE series and East Asian gardens like the INDIA series. Les Créations de la Maison, meanwhile, presents THE LIVING NATURE, reinterpreting timeless fabrics traditionally associated with a masculine look, drawing inspiration from the architecture of Kashmir, India, as seen in the SHABBY PAISLEY series, and from the Arab world, as demonstrated in the KASBAH series, where colorful stripes and worn textures take center stage.

Pepe Peñalver’s new collections capture the cultural richness of Japan, introducing six evocative lines, including SHIBUYA, a series of upholstery fabrics with contrasting textures, and NAGARE, a series of sheers and curtains inspired by the fluidity of nature. Also featured is HAKONE, a double-width blackout fabric that captures the serenity of the Japanese landscape.

Textures that Inspire

Spanish talent continues to express itself through art, reflected in fabrics that transcend materiality to become living canvases—works of art capable of inspiring and moving. This is the philosophy behind Lizzo’s “fabrics with soul”, as seen in the new collections: TERAI, with its exotic character; TABRIZ, which transforms natural fibers into upholstery textures; and EPIC, a collection of fabrics with elegant drapes and a mystical allure.

Meanwhile, Equipo DRT presents the AYA upholstery fabric collection, blending art and textile innovation, designed by Vicent Martínez from drawings by artist Ana Hernández. 

Each of these editors showcase the Spanish talent for integrating art, functionality, and sustainability into textile design. Once again, Spanish brands offer innovative proposals that redefine spaces and celebrate the beauty of materials and creativity.
