The Spanish contemporary furniture firm, Viccarbe, expands its commercial presence in the Land of the Rising Sun with the opening of a new showroom in the city of Tokyo. The company initially entered this market in 2013 with the debut of the first Viccarbe Studio in Osaka and with this latest opening, Viccarbe establishes its commitment to the Japanese market.
This new showroom was opened in collaboration with E-INTERIORS INC., its main distributor in Japan, and is located in Aoyama, one of the most exclusive neighbourhoods in the Japanese capital. With this new studio, Viccarbe consolidates its brand among the Japanese public, bring its Mediterranean Loungexperience to one of the world’s design hubs. This space was also created to allow Japanese architects and interior designers to collaborate and exchange ideas on an ongoing basis. To that end, the firm’s most significant pieces are displayed.
In recent years, Viccarbe has been selected to furnish major projects in the Japanese capital, including the offices of Apple and Coca Cola, and the Tokyo University of Science. In addition, several Japanese designers have collaborated in designing its collections, such as Naoto Fukasawa, who created the Common modular seating system, its benches and side tables; Tomoya Tabuchi, who designed the Nagi armchair; and Kensaku Oshiri, who created the Brix armchair.
Viccarbe’s functional collections of furniture and accessories reflect a contemporary lifestyle, with a wide range of products for the home, office, hotels, restaurants, airports, schools, universities, and libraries, designed by the most reputable international designers, including Patricia Urquiola, Jaime Hayon, Piero Lissoni, Jean-Marie Massaud, Lievore Altherr & Molina, Naoto Fukasawa, Arik Levy, and John Pawson, among others. Its furnishings can be found in the offices of internationally renowned brands like Microsoft, Coca Cola, LinkedIn, and Adobe, and are exported to more than 70 countries.
