Spain’s leading contemporary lighting companies have unveiled their latest decorative designs this year. Inspired by such themes as plays of sunlight, organic forms and classical touches, they have been created by internationally renowned designers and young Spanish studios and creatives.

Arturo Alvarez has launched two delicate pendant lamp collections inspired by ballet steps and the tempo of music. Marset expresses the beauty of light with its lamp called Theia (named after the mother of the Sun in Greek mythology, and the Greek for goddess), while its design Concentric plays with almost hypnotic effects. Marset also wows us with its lamps evocative of dawn.

As for Vibia, its outdoor lighting collection June creates a warm, inviting mood, and recalls the garlands of lights used for summer street parties. Its North lamps aim to capture different reflections of light caused by the sun as the seasons change and Mayfair light is a contemporary design with classical overtones. Meanwhile, LZF Lamps launched coloured lights comprising interlaced strips based on a study of form and geometry.

B.Lux presented lights in organic shapes inspired by Polynesia’s many islands and the Ginkgo tree of Far Eastern origin. And Leds C-4 continues to invest in pendant lights by Spanish designers, while Bover has augmented its hero collections of recent years.

We should also mention the latest collections of such Spanish lighting firms as Estiluz, Faro, Metalarte, Carpyen, H.Rogu, El Torrent, Parachilna, Arkos Light, Fluvia, Lamp, Alma Light, Pujol iluminación, Fambuena, Almerich, Pedret, IDP Lamp, Ole by FM, and Pottery Project, all of which offer a huge variety of designs suitable for both the domestic and contract markets.
