A multifunctional chair designed for Inclass.
Creative studio Yonoh has designed the Arc chair for Spanish firm Inclass, which specialises in seating and sofas for public spaces and offices.
Sinuous and subtle in its design, the Arc chair is intended to be multifunctional and fit nicely into both public and residential projects. Its truly ergonomic backrest curves gently, embracing the sitter’s back. And its frame, made of steel and chrome rods, comes in a multitude of colours, and so harmonises easily with different styles of interior. Both its seat and backrest are made of moulded plywood and available in natural wood, a lacquer finish or upholstered. The choice of finishes Arc comes in is extensive, making the chair – that’s also stackable – suitable for any type of decor.
Eager to challenge conventional ideas about design and help companies and users form good relationships as well as with the objects that surround them, Yonoh was founded in 2006. From the start, the company believed design shouldn’t just be about cosmetic adornment but be integral to its DNA. Since then, the studio has worked on numerous projects for such furniture and lighting companies as Sancal, Inclass, LZF Lamps, Almerich and Manufacturas Celda.
Based in Alicante, southern Spain, Inclass was founded in the late 90s, and specialised in making contemporary furniture for public spaces, offices and the contract market. Its designs aim to be functional which is why they take into account ergonomic criteria and a concern for comfort, thereby contributing to making spaces more homely. The company has invested heavily in value-added design created by collaborations with such prestigious designers and design studios as Yonoh, Francesc Rifé, Aitor García de Vicuña, Florián Moreno, Giancarlo Bisaglia and Jean Louis Iratzoki. The company exports to over 30 countries and does business with over 800 clients all over the world.
