Beltá unveils Rund by Dsignio

A range of ultra-hardwearing yet very delicate-looking side tables.

The furniture and upholstered furniture specialist Beltá, which is part of the group Frajumar, has unveiled its new collection of tables called Rund, created by the studio Dsignio.

Rund comprises a set of three side tables which can be used individually or arranged in a group forming different configurations thanks to the tables’ various sizes and heights. Its designers aimed to achieve the ultimate in simplicity, eliminate any superfluous elements and give them a pleasingly delicate silhouette. Their apparent fragility contrasts with the fact that they’re hard-wearing, thanks to the way they’re constructed. Their frames are made of solid oak and come with a natural wood finish or lacquered in a choice of several colours.

Founded in Madrid in 2002 by Alberto Bejerano and Patxi Cotarelo, Dsignio specialises in industrial and interior design. Its main philosophy is to understand fully the needs of each client, adapt to these and guarantee that each project is efficiently scheduled and handled in a highly personal way. The studio has created other products for various companies, including Beltá – for which it has designed several sofa and armchair collections – Vibia, for whom it created the Inside light, and Now Carpets, for which it designed a rug collection.

These offer ideas for the home that are at once ergonomic, intelligent and inspiring. They’re suited to both domestic and public spaces, too. When creating new products, the company has also collaborated with such designers as Dario Gagliardini, Jorge Pensi, Jacob Pringiers, Diego Granese and Nieves Contreras (who created the company’s Toupie armchair), among others.
