Coordonné’s new collection, Travel Memories

The magic of travelling captured on your walls.

Barcelona-based wall-covering and fabrics company Coordoné brings colour and light to autumn’s darker months with its latest collections. It’s just launched its second wallpaper collection – Travel Memories – on the international market. This whimsical idea transports you to a magical world of travel, of different destinations – you’ll feel like you’re flamenco-dancing, on safari in Africa or scaling the heights of New York’s Empire State Building or Paris’s Eiffel Tower.

The new collection, comprising vintage-style wall-coverings, will whisk you back in time, thanks to its Liberty-print florals, and prints of old-fashioned lace and entrancing toiles (ie, fabrics like linen and cotton), all in a spectrum of mouth-watering colours – mainly pinks, beige, mint green, blue...

This isn’t the company’s only new offering this autumn; it has also launched its Kaleido collection that heavily features geometric motifs, ranging from ones that look 3D to abstract ones, all in vibrant hues. And then there’s the Stripes Only collection which features a wide choice of stripes in a fabulous range of rainbow-bright colours; this also includes mural designs and vinyl papers.

One of Spain’s leading wallpaper manufacturers, Coordonné exports 50 per cent of its turnover to mainly Europe, Asia, South America and Australia. It has collaborated with internationally renowned artists and designers, as was the case with its Catalina Estrada collection, which saw the firm collaborate with the Colombian illustrator of the same name, and with its Vital line, created by illustrator Jordi Labanda. In 2012, the company unveiled its children’s collection Bunny’s Day Out, featuring a charming family of rabbits as its main motif, which adorned fabrics, wallpapers, borders and rugs.
