Delica launches two pieces of furniture…

…The Phi shelving unit and multifunctional Just in Case table.

Delica, a company that specialises in homeware and desk accessories, has just launched its new products for 2013 – the Phi 60 modular shelving unit and multifunctional Just in Case collection. Both designs represent this Spanish company’s new-found commitment to producing furniture as well as accessories.

Phi 60 is a modular shelving unit designed by Jordi Canuda which allows the user to create irregular yet harmonious configurations, thanks to a system of measurements based on special proportions and the ease with which it can be assembled. All the measurements of this unit are obtained by multiplying or dividing the number 60 by  a number called Phi – also called the ‘golden number’ or ‘divine proportion’ – which has unique properties. Its proportions allow for its multiplicity of configurations – and for these configurations to be irregular yet harmonious. The unit can therefore be adapted to the specific needs of a particular space, to accommodating different objects or to creating any configuration of your choice.

Designed by Ramirez í Carrillo, Just in Case is an austere, elegant, poetic, highly practical collection of three objects combined as one: a table, stool and tray. The metal tray fits effortlessly on to the top of the wooden stool to create a table.

The Delica brand embodies well-designed homeware – products in exquisite taste whose every detail has been painstakingly considered. Set up in 2005, it initially launched a line of trays designed by the studio, Zoocreative. It has since unveiled other collections with such evocative names as Otto, Kuusi and Sacha – all launched in 2012.
