An unusual, china desk accessories set designed for Selleti.
Once again, Spanish designer Héctor Serrano has realised his dreams, this time in the form of his new piece, Desktructure – a highly original, predominantly white china design created for Italian firm Seletti, destined to make any desk look truly magical.
It comprises a miniature factory, boat and city that set your mind imagining exotic travels by boat, visits to Big Ben in London or designing your own metropolis – a creative, fun yet practical activity guaranteed to banish clutter from your desk. Made of white china with a horizontal strip of colour running along their base, the pieces can be used separately or grouped to create a personal landscape of objects, while serving as a useful container for pencils, paper clips, USB sticks and other small objects on your desk.
Serrano’s designs are never dull and, working from his London studio, he continues, in his characteristically innovative fashion, to reinvent everyday objects in new, arresting ways. Notable among his recent designs are the Sail pouffe for Spanish company Gan, Finger Tattoos and Finger Puppets for British firm Npw, Mr Cube collection of wooden figures for Muji and Porrón Pompero and Natura jars for La Mediterránea.
