A modular system of pentagonal pieces that allows you to create personal configurations of tables and chairs.
Madrid-based design studio Dsignio invites you to give free rein to your imagination when arranging its system of pentagonal pieces called Pent, which it has created for Beltá, maker of furniture including upholstered pieces.
Pent is a modular furniture system comprising pentagonal pieces which can be endlessly repeated to create countless configurations. It’s like a jigsaw puzzle that the user can play with to arrange pieces in a style that best suits his or her needs, and which can be combined in limitless ways. Its different sizes are designed to be adapted for use as tables or chairs which form dynamic groups of furniture that can be tailored to different uses. The pieces’ natural ash finish gives them warmth, although an alternative choice of lacquered finishes allows for other, even more fun configurations.
Founded in 2002 by Alberto Bejerano and Patxi Cotarelo, Dsignio is a comprehensive design studio which has created pieces for such Spanish firms as Vibia, Now Carpets and Peronda; for the latter it designed the marble, round-contoured washbasin River Stone. Pent aside, Dsignio has designed several collections of sofas, armchairs and tables (including its Rund tables) for Beltá.
Beltá & Frajumar firm makes directional sofas, armchairs, tables and homeware suited to all domestic and public environments. As part of its commitment to good design, it collaborates with internationally renowned designers, resultjng in products which have a strong presence in over 30 countries.
