Its first collections were produced by the designer Jorge Herrera.
A new furniture brand was born in Spain this year — Stratta, whose first collections were created by the designer Jorge Herrera.
The idea for Stratta sprang from a passion for design as well as a commitment to ergonomic, functional pieces for all types of interior. Its range of soft furniture is created using a special formula of upholstered foam that makes its products super-comfortable and cutting edge. Its first designs — intended for indoor and outdoor use and the contract market — aspire to be innovative and modern.
The brand was launched this year at German trade fair Orgatec, one of the world’s leading showcases of office and contract furniture, where it unveiled its collections of sofas, armchairs, tables and other elements, including Next to Me, Wingchester, Strip, Block, Boo and Easy. Next year, it will take part in the Milan Furniture Fair which will strengthen its presence on the international stage.
Next to Me is a line of simple, elegant upholstered sofas with removable covers. Wingchester is a modern reinterpretation of an old-fashioned sofa fused as it is with a modern, cutting-edge, utterly comfortable design. Completing this collection — perfect for waiting rooms and informal meeting areas — is a table-cum-pouffe. There’s also Strip — a modular collection comprising an armchair, sofa, benches and low-level tables for modern office spaces designed to be fluid, fast-paced and collaborative. The remaining pieces are the pleasingly geometric and comfortable modular series Block and Boo and simple collection Easy, designed for switching off and relaxing on in all styles of interior.
