Hugotejadastudio creates IAARA for Fambuena

A lighting collection inspired by femininity.

Hugotejadastudio has designed the IAARA lighting collection for Spanish firm Fambuena.

The new lighting takes its inspiration from the idea of femininity. Hugotejadastudio has tried to express the essence of femininity via that quintessentially everyday product – the light. Its silhouette and form give the lamp a strong presence – one that’s both cultured and refined. The collection is made of triplex opal glass and the effect it creates with light is amazing. What’s more, the IAARA lights look great in a whole host of contexts – highly decorative interiors, public spaces and homes – thanks to the fact that they’re so versatile.

Hugotejadastudio is a multidisciplinary design studio which specialises in industrial, furniture and graphic design. It was founded in 2011 by the designer Hugo Tejada, whose philosophy is based on creating innovative, functional, contemporary and highly individual products. Aside from Fambuena, the studio has designed pieces for such firms as Alfombras Veo Veo, Mantra, FM Iluminación, Systemtronic, Almerich, Anperbar, Imaginaierro and ACB Iluminación, among others.

Fambuena has been manufacturing lighting since 2005. Thanks to the artistic direction of Vicente García Jiménez, the company has a strong identity synonymous with a universe of light filled with beauty, sensuality and romanticism. Its collections stand out for the unique atmosphere they create, and for their ability to transform products into objects that speak their own emotional language. What’s more, when developing its products, the firm has collaborated with designers from all over the world, including Cristian Malisan, Nicola Nerboni, Antonio Minervini, Sabine Leuthold, Jehs & Laub and Spanish studio Yonoh, which has created different pieces for the firm, such as Lily, Plume and Tali.
