Inalco unveils Handcraft

A porcelain tile collection with roots firmly in the past.

Inalco, the leading Spanish specialist suppliers of ceramic tiles and services for the construction industry and architecture and industry sectors, unveils its collection, Handcraft – the result of a new collaboration with architects practice Bunch, directed by architect Sara de la Mata.

The Handcraft collection perfectly represents a return to the essence of textures and skilled production. It appreciates the value of authenticity, a return to all things natural and craftsmanship. Inspired by the warm, earthy textures of clay, the human traces of the potter’s hand on terracotta and the most elemental creative techniques, Handcraft revives the essence of materials and the forms these were shaped into in the past. The clay itself is the perfect medium for expressing traditional, tactile qualities, while embracing cutting-edge technology, too.

Handcraft is also a large-scale product that creates smooth, continuous surfaces and comes in a wide range of neutral tones: whites, ochre, grey and various earthy tones that all evoke the glossiness, luminosity and contrasting tones of clay and its colouring found in nature. The collection ranges in size from 50cm to 100cm to 100cm to 300cm in the company’s Slimmker/ Slimmker-Floor format.
