Apps is a wall light that illuminates a pictogram at its centre, and is framed by a background wash of light in different colours. It was designed by the Jorge Herrera Studio in Valencia, and is part of Italian lighting company Flos’s Soft Architecture family.
Apps is an LED light that is unimposing and blends seamlessly into the surrounding space. Its added value springs from its discreet design assured by its indirect light and geometric, flexible, soothing forms. What’s more, just like the other products in Flos’s Soft Architecture line, the design is the result of a thorough search for innovative, non-flammable, eco and energy-efficient materials.
Jorge Herrera was born in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria in Spain in 1976, and today lives in Valencia. He studied industrial design and is now a major, new talent on the Spanish design scene. His work encompasses all areas of design, including product and graphic design.
