Kap by Francesc Vilaró

The new chill-out, outdoor lighting by LEDS-C4.

The Spanish lighting firm LEDS-C4, in collaboration with the designer Francesc Vilaró, have created Kap, a new outdoor lighting idea.

This design is made of matt, white polyethylene and manufactured using a rotation-moulding technique that allows the product to have a totally original, unique, 60cm by 60cm shape. It casts a very even, diffuse light and uses low-energy fluorescent or LED bulbs, making it highly energy-efficient. Kap can be used as wall light, beacon or ceiling light; it also comes as a pendant light. And it incorporates a small feature that allows each light to be raised to the exact height the user requires.

LEDS-C4 makes lighting that satisfies and adapts to any client’s specific requirement. It also offers an exclusive and comprehensive service encompassing advice and the design and manufacture of bespoke pieces. The 40 or more years’ experience the company has made it higly respected in the lighting sector. Based in Torá, Lleida, in Catalonia, the firm designs and makes seven lines of products in a huge variety of styles, from the most contemporary to the most traditional, as well as commercial, architectural and outdoor lighting both for private homes and for public use in towns and cities. The company boasts its own team of designers and architects, and collaborates with such designers as Jordi Llopis,  Stimulo, Benedito Design, Estudi Ribaudí and Nahtrang Disseny, among others.
