Kettal’s Park Life

Created by British designer Jasper Morrison, Park Life is one the latest outdoor furniture collections to have been unveiled by Spanish company Kettal.

It’s a complete outdoor furniture range, whose clean-cut contours make it adaptable to a wide range of environments. The pieces are lightweight yet extremely durable. What’s more, they can be easily stacked for transport and storage in winter. Their technical sophistication, ergonomic design and the huge amount of attention paid to how they look guarantee them a long life, both structurally and aesthetically.

In the designer’s own words, ‘This is my first outdoor furniture collection. It’s taken me a long time to get here – about four and a half years! It probably took so long because we had to discover the right codes for outdoor furniture – a totally different category of furniture. It’s been an interesting process and we had to make many prototypes to achieve this, but I think the result justifies the effort.’

Morrison aside, Kettal collaborates with such internationally renowned designers as Patricia Urquiola, Rodolfo Dordoni, Hella Jongerius and Emiliana Design Studio. It has 10 shops in such cities as London, Paris, Milan, Miami, Guangzhou, Barcelona, Madrid and Cannes among others, while its products are present in over 60 countries.
