Andreu World’s new, elegant, ergonomic armchair.
Valencian company Andreu World kickstarted this year with a wonderful surprise: winning the prestigious Red Dot 2013 prize for its chair, Flexa – another motivating boost for this company whose success rests on its innovative, good-looking, functional seating.
And at the recent Milan Furniture Fair, it unveiled its new Agora armchair, designed by the Barcelona-based studio Lievore Altherr Molina.
With a solid wood frame and various options for legs, Agora is an upholstered chair that stands out for being ergonomic and comfortable, making it perfect for relaxing, reading, listening to music and thinking. The chair has the option of standing on a swivel base in polished aluminium, a solid wood swivel base or on four wooden legs – a variety of styles that mean it can adapt to many interiors, both domestic and public.
What’s more, Agora meets the most demanding tests of strength, such as the ISO level 5 and ANSI BIFMA. Made of recyclable materials, its manufacturing process is environmentally friendly and sustainable. And the wood used comes from FSC-certified managed forests.
Lievore Altherr Molina has created designs for Andreu World ever since the latter was founded. Some of its creations can be admired in many cool hangouts, for example its Lynn chairs grace Shangri La’s Barr Al Jissah Resort and Spa hotel complex in Oman, which has a Latin feel, and its Woody chair Café 3.440, Austria’s highest café.
